Schools under state sanction for not implementing corrective actions plans are rated as "Accreditation Denied." Upon request by a local school board, schools serving students with special needs may be evaluated based on alternate accreditation plans approved by the state Board of Education. High-performing schools earn three-year waivers from annual accreditation, although performance on school quality indicators is reported annually.Schools performing at Level One or Level Two on all school quality indicators are rated as "Accredited." In addition: Ratings are based on performance during the most recent year or on a three-year average.
